Vietnam protest songs
This resource is fantastic for engaging GCSE students in the American anti- Vietnam War movement. It was created for the AQA Conflict and Tension in Asia unit. This is an independent research task that allows students to emerse themselves in the youth culture and music that developed as part of the protest movement- it really helps to develop their sense of period. They have to research seven different anti-war songs from the 60s and 70s, including Country Joe and the Fish and Bob Dylan. They then fill in a table. Perfect for homework!
