Norman Church reforms: masterclass
This resource is a simulation / role-play activity in which students assume the roles of religious advisers to William I and advise him of the necessity of Church reform. Students prepare to argue one (or more) of the following positions:
- The old Anglo-Saxon Church was corrupt
- Changing Church buildings is desirable
- New people are required to run the Church.
This resource was planned for AQA's History GCSE: Paper 2 Section B, Norman England c1066-c1100.
