Cause and consequence
This complete lesson would be great for KS3 students looking at the nature of protest and reform today. Students analyse photographs and move to a card sort activity that allows them to categorise reasons for the riots. A great resource to help students to develop an understanding of the concept of causation.

So pleased to have found this resource! I am a volunteer tutor with the Access project that helps disadvantaged students. I am working with an A level history student who is struggling with causation and this is perfect, because it lets us step away from the curriculum a bit. We've done some causation stuff looking at the periods he's been studying, but it will be nice to do one where you don't need any prior knowledge. The BBC link in the resource works, but the video is no longer on the page. I'm planning to use this instead: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DlJhKaOK8yY
