Which side was more responsible for Détente?

This resource looks at the motivations and factors behind Détente in the 1970s. A range of factor cards linked to the development of Détente can be categorised and assessed into which factors were led by the USSR and which were led by the USA. There is also a spectrum diagram activity which allows students to further assess whether the factors were motivated by fear or cooperation.
