20 ideas to improve teacher wellbeing in schools

A fantastic list of practical ideas and tips to improve teacher wellbeing, from learning to say no, to pairing up with a wellbeing buddy. Use these wellbeing ideas across a school or as an individual to help reduce workload and work-related stress. Useful for heads of department as well as classroom teachers.

This resource was written by Victoria Hewett, education blogger @Mrs_Humanities and creator of the #Teacher5adayBuddyBox wellbeing scheme, to accompany her article on teacher wellbeing.

13. Wellbeing buddies. Sometimes just knowing someone has your back if you need them can improve your frame of mind. Wellbeing buddies are paired up and look out for each other; strategies can include regular chats and conversations, gift-giving or gestures of care for one another.
